Get entrapped into the track!
The hope for our future is in the hands of the youth! What can Senior INHSians hold onto for the time being?
The Isabela National High School - Senior High School (INHS-SHS) hosted an entrepreneurship bazaar entitled Project ENTREP "Encouraging, Navigating, Training, and Readying young Entrepreneurs for Progress" last January 12, 2023, where all the grade twelve (12) INHSians among all strands (ABM, ADT, HUMSS, and STEM) with the Entrepreneurship subject participated and showcased each one of their section's goods at the INHS Gymnasium. The front row of this eye-catching event is filled with none other than grade 12 students under the supervision of entrepreneurship teachers led by ma'am Jennefer Lonzaneda and sir Gerald Socan. The entrepreneurship teachers prepared the students by first teaching them the concepts and principles of entrepreneurship before immersing them in hands-on activities such as product prototyping and, ultimately, the grand bazaar.
One of the applicable disciplines in all tracks and strands and a requirement for senior high school is entrepreneurship. By participating in this grand bazaar, entrepreneurship is reflected its fullest extent, and the students undoubtedly demonstrated just that. A wide range of merchandise was developed, including confections and snacks, handbags, apparel, and accessories, as well as a number of booths, including that the DJ booth, the dedication booth, and the confession booth. For good measure, there were contested activities included, such as Best Booth, Best Product, Most Organized Class, Cleanest Area, and Top Seller, which definitely highlighted the grand bazaar that necessitated genuine work and passion. Consequently, every grade twelve INHSian is a clear winner thanks to the array of talents they have implemented and their application of entrepreneurship concepts.
In the bargain, two of our dear proponents: Ma'am Jennefer Lonzaneda and Sir Gerald Socan, spoke about the importance of entrepreneurship and how the 2023 Project ENTREP fosters it.
"One of the skills the students must possess is entrepreneurial skills. Entrepreneurship involves issues that deal with creativity, innovation, commercialization, and profitability. Project ENTREP wants to hone students’ entrepreneurial skills through hands-on activities and experiences. It also aims to implement a business plan, perform key bookkeeping tasks, and manifest an understanding of starting and operating a simple business as indicated in MELCS."
Both proponents have also stated that it is truly overwhelming to finally be able to host the 2023 Project ENTREP because they see that "Our students are very excited and very eager to participate in the said event. This bazaar is one of their most anticipated events in SHS because when they were in junior years, they witnessed how their ate’s and kuya’s in SHS conducted bazaar and were amazed by their creative booths and products."
With the theme on screen, Encouraging, Navigating, Training, and Readying youth Entrepreneurs for Progress, the grand bazaar was indeed a success.
